What will be the format of the 49th World Polymer Congress MACRO 2022?
The format of MACRO 2022 will be HYBRID. The conference is an in-person event taking place at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg, Canada. However, we are providing our registered delegates an on-demand virtual library of pre-recorded presentations, e-posters and audio-recordings including power point presentations were applicable of the live onsite program session presentations, plenaries and keynote speaker content. The on-demand virtual content is available to all those interested from the polymer science community who are unable to attend MACRO 2022 in person.
What is the theme of MACRO 2022? What are the sub-themes?
The program is comprised of 9 themes representing fields such as polymers for biomedical engineering, nanotechnology, physics and engineering. Check our theme page here. When will I be able to submit a presentation abstract?
The abstract submission process is now is now closed. Thank you to all who have submitted. All accepted oral and poster abstracts will be made accessible via the in-person full conference program schedule, mobile app and digital abstract book pdf (mobile app and pdf will be available closer to the live dates).

Will I be able to see a list of all delegates?
In-person registered delegates will have access to all delegates via the mobile app, unless the individual delegate has selected not to consent to their data being shared. Delegates are otherwise able to connect to one another via the mobile app.
Will in-person registered delegates have access to the on-demand content?
Yes, all registered in-person and on-demand delegates will have access to the MACRO 2022 on-demand content via the virtual library, provided no outstanding fees. The MACRO 2022 virtual library will allow delegates to access all on-demand content including pre-recorded presentations and e-posters. Post-conference, audio-recordings of the live onsite program session presentations, plenaries, and keynote speaker content (including power point presentations where applicable) will be made available.
Can I cancel my registration to MACRO 2022 at any time and will I get a refund?
Registration cancellations received via email at the MACRO 2022 - The 49th World Polymer Congress Secretariat's address on or before June 13, 2022 will be accepted and a cancellation fee of CAD 150.00 will apply. Cancellations received after June 13, 2022 will not be refunded; however, transfer of your registration to another person is acceptable. Please email macro2022-registration@icsevents.com ; the deadline to transfer registration is July 6, 2022. No refunds will be made for non attendance at the Conference.
Registration is non-refundable if you register for the "Educational Workshop in Polymer Sciences 2022 (No Conference Access)".
In the unlikely event that the Conference is cancelled, travel and accommodation costs will not be refunded.
Can I transfer my conference registration to another person?
Yes, you may transfer your registration to another person. You can do this by re-accessing the original delegate's registration account via the confirmation letter and overwriting their details with the new delegate’s details.
Can I change the details in my registration record?
Yes. Once you have registered here, you may log in and change details in your registration record.

Once I have arrived in Winnipeg, Canada, where can I learn about the current local guidelines and restrictions that are in place?
Once you arrive in Winnipeg, you will be obligated to follow the local health officials’ guidelines and restrictions that are in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19. For example, this may include always wearing a facemask while indoors, and always carrying proof of vaccination and your passport with you to be allowed entry into conference venues, restaurants, and other business.
